Germany - Land of Ideas
NameRobot is a landmark in the Land of Ideas 2011.
The federal initiative Germany - Land of Ideas in cooperation with Deutsche Bank has been rewarding ideas and projects that provide a lasting contribution to sustainability in Germany since 2006. All 365 selected landmarks showcase the inventiveness of people in Germany and their ability to turn innovations into products that will change the world.
Code_n Contest - Shaping mobile life
NameRobot was one of 50 startups and innovations from all over the world to be a finalist at the Code_n Contest 2012.
CODE_n is an international initiative for fresh ideas in the field of IT and the internet. The network aims to bring together the sector’s brightest minds and smartest ideas, to provide ongoing support and to harness this force field for the seeding and fast breeding of new innovations. CODE_n stands for “Code of the New”, the DNA of innovation.
The initiator is GFT Technologies, an international supplier of IT solutions and services. The partners include Deutsche Messe, Ernst & Young, Fujitsu Technologies Solutions, BITKOM and the Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe (ZKM).
NameRobot and the other top 50 finalists received VIP status at the CeBIT combined with a cool 15-square-meter booth to present their business concept in a spectacular, 3,500-square-meter exhibition hall at the world's largest and most important IT-Event CeBIT 2012.
Coinciding with CeBIT 2012, NameRobot.com launched its international version.
Innovation Prize IT
Successful application for NameRobot
The online naming service NameRobot was named an innovative product and accepted to the German mid-sized companies' Innovation Prize IT initiative.
"The focus of the Innovation Prize IT is not the company itself but its products and services. The best chances of winning are held by innovative and interesting solutions offering particularly high value and functionality for all companies. The winning companies are not left alone with their prizes but are consistently supervised and assisted by the Huber publisher for new media." (Source: imittelstand.de)
Financial Times Deutschland - Founder of the Month
Users of the FTD New Business Marketplace elect NameRobot
The New Business Marketplace of the Financial Times Deutschland (FTD; in German) picked the novel naming service as Founder of the Month. Giving start-ups a platform on the internet, the editorial department of the New Business Marketplace invites selected entrepreneurs to present their ideas in a profile on the site: the profile with most clicks and votes is then featured by the editorial staff as Founder of the Week in a portrait (in German). A vote is held between all weekly winners and the resulting Founder of the Month is presented in the print issue of the FTD founder's magazine enable.

o2 Telefónica awards innovative start-ups from Germany for the first time
The top-class jury around Johannes Pruchnow (Managing Director Business, Telefónica o2 Germany) picked NameRobot from approximately 150 applications to the third position. The novel naming service convinced the jury with its "innovative concept and the professional implementation which also includes the possibility to check the new-found names", says Johannes Pruchnow.
